Looking Forward to 2010

I'm happy to be turning our attention to 2010 and a celebratory Relay with a "birthday" theme. With that in mind, I encourage any teams that are returning or forming to think of a tent site activity keeping with this birthday theme.

For on-stage activities, we will be soliciting the Newtown High School and Middle School music departments much earlier this time around in the hope that ensembles from each school will anchor our early evening entertainment schedule.

We will likely host another 'Walk With A Hero' auction, and the popular frozen t-shirt contest, as well as multiple theme laps. But I would alo like to plan to have several birthday themed activities on stage between midnight and when the Relay wraps up the morning of June 6, so it's time to start thinking about it.

I'm thinking a pin the tail on something game, Twister playoff, pinata smash, truth or dare competition (within PG boundaries, please!) and any other way you can think of to make a birthday party game an entertaining public spectacle!

I'm looking forward to crafting a highly engaging entertainment schedule for Relay 2010, with your help teams. So start thinking about it now, and don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have any ideas you would like to discuss! Just email me at: relayforlifeofnewtown@gmail.com.
